In 1992, the Associazione issued a form the Soci can fill in after a dinner with friends and family or as part of a meeting with other collectors in one of the restaurants of the Unione Ristoranti del Buon Ricordo.
This form is designed to enable guests to express their opinion on all aspects of the restaurant they visited: location, hospitality, quality and presentation of the dishes, wines, service, etc.
In our office, the forms are evaluated by a commission that in accordance with special rules and directives passes the results to the Consiglio Direttivo. This counsil is tasked with nomination the "Idealeamico" restaurant every year.
For the first few years, the award was divided into the "Ristorante Ideale" award, for the highest quality, and the "Ristorante Amico" award, for hospitality. In 1997, however, both titles were merged in "IDEALEAMICO" award.
Since 2009 the prize is dedicated to the memory of Marco Regge, a founding member and expert collector and gastronomist, thereby emphasizing the importance it had in the life of the Association.
